There are many things to point out about this type of blind but here are the main three benefits.

The Honeycomb Cells

The cellular fabric is made with a backing fabric welded to the front fabric. The backing fabric is usually white and can be translucent or blackout.

The honeycomb cells make an air pocket between the fabrics. This air pocket has an insulating effect keeping rooms warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

In conservatories this effect is very noticeable and will mean that your conservatory will become an all year round room rather than a room you only enjoy from time to time.

The Blinds Clip In

These blinds have been called "Easy Fit" and "Clip in". They are part of the perfect fit blinds family of blinds. No drilling is needed to install them to your windows. Over 90% of windows are suitable for these window blinds.

You need to have a gasket between the glass and the frame of you window. The brackets go between the gasket and the glass. If your windows are less than about ten years old you will find that the gasket will be soft enough to just slide the brackets in. Older windows need to be assessed by a blinds fitter to ensure the window is suitable.

The Blinds Come With Different Options

The first main option is the colour of the perfect fit frame. The 3 current options are white, silver and brown. There is a wood grain frame available but the laminate coating scratches easily so I do not use it.

You can have the blinds operating as a single draw or a double draw with two handles. The blackout Nova range of fabrics give one of the best blackouts available with very little light creep around the fabric. The three bracket sizes allow for different bead depths of 18mm, 20mm and 24mm. There is also a special velux window bracket.

The only slight limitation at the moment is that there are only around 20 colours to choose from. This will be changing in early 2011 when new ranges in development are launched.
